The term Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used to identify a wide range of computer technologies concerned with creating and employing smart algorithms able to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence.
The power of AI stays in the ability to handle large amounts of data and learn from experience, identifying relevant patterns without any prior structured information.
Artificial Intelligence embraces various methodologies and procedures, such as machine learning, computer vision, image recognition, natural language processing, etc... A common aspect of these technologies is the implementing approach, which is based on the following two phases:
- Training: collect historical data and select, train, and configure the most appropriate algorithms.
- Operation: put the algorithms into production and get results from live data.
AI allows to drive down the time taken to perform simple and complex tasks. This makes processes smarter and faster.
